Gozo 2026
Gozo: Malta’s cherished sister island. Enveloped by the rich Mediterranean Sea, its waters infuse the island’s gastronomy with a depth and flavor that reflect its soul. Though small in size, Gozo bursts with vibrant culture, unique cuisine, and breathtaking landscapes that captivate the heart. It is a feast for the senses — not only for the eyes, but for the ears and the palate. To truly understand Gozo, one must feel its spirit, taste its offerings, and immerse in its essence. Gozo’s history is rich and endowed with an array of happenings that have shaped the island to what it is today. Despite being part of the Maltese archipelago, Gozo is a distinct and self-contained island covering an area of 67 km2. It is home to 39,287 people, spread over 14 different towns/villages. Regardless of the size, each town has its own specific characteristics such as landmarks, dialect and traditions, making the island a highly diverse and dynamic place. The tiny island of Comino, which lies in between the two islands, is also considered part of Gozo from an administrative perspective.
