The 7th partner meeting of European Region of Gastronomy Platform, organised by IGCAT and hosted by the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, in the region of North Brabant, in the Netherlands took place from 16 March to 18 March. The meeting gathered 19 colleagues representing the 9 founder regions, where they approved the minutes for the last meeting in Bergamo and reported on activities being developed in each region. The Platform welcomed North Savo, Finland, as new partner of the group. During the meeting, the partners discussed budgets and strategies to bring new members on board, social media strategy, communication and marketing strategy, as well as permissions for use of European Region of Gastronomy logo in each region. Further to this, the partners discussed work required to resubmit their partner proposal for Interreg Europe with additional partners from Galway, West of Ireland and North Savo, Finland. During the meeting, an invitation was extended to all regions to send finalists to the European Young Chef Award which will be celebrated on 14 November 2016 at EUHTStPOl in the framework of Catalonia, European region of Gastronomy 2016. A new call was also launched for hosts of the 2017 European Young Chef Award. The partners were also invited on a visit to De Verspillingsfabriek (Food Waste Factory). The next partner meeting will take place in Aarhus, Denmark in June 2016 within the framework of the IFAMA conference.
