The first European Region of Gastronomy award was given to Minho and Catalonia by IGCAT, as first holders in recognition of the work that has been done on gastronomy qualification by all stakeholders in the area but overall because of a creative programme to structure and promote the cultural and gastronomic products of Minho. In order to prepare its year and also its longterm strategy commitment for the region, the Minho IN Consortium including Intermunicipal Community of the Alto Minho, Cávado and Ave, in conjuction with the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, will organize a seminar to map its Agrifood and Gastronomy resources to evaluate the challenges and opportunities for the coming period 2016-2020. The seminar will be on 25 November at the Villa Moraes in Ponte de Lima. For more information about the seminar and its programme, visit Minho In.
